What to know
GENERAL TERMS
1- The General Terms are an inseparable part of the tour program and cannot be considered independently from the tour program.
2- If sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, Wtatil can cancel the tour up to 21 days before the travel date. In such a case, the cancellation information will be communicated to the guest. The full tour fee will be refunded to the guest. For additional services purchased outside the tour; internal flight connections purchased from Wtatil will also be refunded, if visa services and travel health insurance were applied for the guest's visa request, these services cannot be refunded as they have been utilized, if a visa application has not been made, the visa and travel health insurance will also be canceled and a refund will be made. If the guest purchased their internal flight connection from a different provider independent of Wtatil, in the event of the trip being canceled by Wtatil, the guest cannot request any fee refund from Wtatil. The guest accepts any material and moral losses resulting from the tour cancellation in advance when purchasing the tour, and Wtatil cannot be held responsible.
3- In case sufficient participation for the trip is not achieved, Wtatil has the right to show good faith and not cancel the tour. In this case, as the tour will be provided individually for the guest, the included guiding service will only cover the round-trip airport transfer for international travel.
Cancellation and Changes
4- Our guests have the right to cancel without penalty by notifying Wtatil in writing until 30 days prior to the tour departure date, except for the airline tickets for which Wtatil has made payments and/or commitments. In case the trip date is less than 31 days away, the guest can cancel by paying a penalty of 50% of the remaining tour fee for the flight ticket, and when there are 15 days or less until the trip date, by paying the full penalty of the tour fee. In case of cancellation requests, the refund conditions for additional services like internal flight connections, visa services, travel health insurance may vary according to the period at which the cancellation request is made, so it is necessary to inquire in advance about refunds. Wtatil cannot make any commitments regarding the refund of additional services.
Guiding Services and Extra Tours
5- The days and hours of the tours specified in the program may be changed by the guide according to the situation of the museums and historical sites visited being open/closed and weather conditions. Different guides may accompany our guests during the tours.
6- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are conducted as a general introduction to the cities and consist of tours of up to 2-3 hours without admission to museums and historical sites. Panoramic tours, as well as other tours mentioned in the program, will not be the responsibility of Wtatil if they cannot be realized due to restrictions imposed by local authorities or if they are closed due to any event, or if it becomes impossible to conduct the tour due to weather conditions. Some tours may be conducted via public transportation or on foot at locations where vehicle entry is not allowed or where there are closed roads, depending on the circumstances.
7- Our guide may make changes to the days of the city tour and/or additional tours based on the content of our tours, participant numbers, and the closed status of museums and historical sites. This condition also applies in case of changes in flight schedules.
8- Important points to observe during tours with Speed Boats; heavy meals should not be consumed immediately before boarding the boat, and a large amount of water should not be drunk. Guests with stomach, back, or neck issues, as well as pregnant guests, should inform their guides about their conditions.
9- There are no refunds for services mentioned in the price area if participation in those tour or meal services is not provided.
About Flights
10- Wtatil is an intermediary between the airline and the passenger, and in the event of any disputes, the relevant provisions of Turkish legislation, as well as the Hague Protocol and Warsaw Convention, will be applied.
11- Delays or changes in flight times may occur in scheduled and charter flights. Wtatil is obliged to inform these changes as soon as possible. The guest has accepted the risks of changes/cancellations in flight times when purchasing the trip.
12- Children aged 0-2 only pay the airport tax fee.
13- According to airline rules; if the outbound flight of round-trip airline tickets is not utilized, the return flight is canceled by the airline.
14- Check-in and boarding procedures that need to be done for participants in flights are personal responsibilities and must be carried out by the guest at the airports prior to the flight, at the relevant airline counters, or online on the airline company's websites.
15- Last-minute delays and gate changes in flights are announced audibly at the airports and displayed on the information boards at the area. These notifications must be monitored directly by the guests.
16- Guests who are not present at the designated airport at the times specified by the airline rules for their flight, do not complete check-in and boarding processes on time, or do complete these processes on time but do not board the plane, are not the responsibility of Wtatil for failing to complete their flight. All expenses regarding obtaining new round-trip plane tickets and transfers in the destination area, etc., that may be necessary for guests who miss their flight are their own responsibility.
17- The general luggage weight limit for flights departing from Turkey is 20 kg. This weight may vary depending on the airline company and the destination country. If there are domestic flights within the destination country, this luggage weight may decrease to 15 kg. Excess baggage weight/price rules are determined by the airlines and are not the responsibility of Wtatil.
18- For our guests who wish to upgrade their tickets with miles (to business or first class); upgrade processes may be performed after the tickets have been issued, depending on the availability of the airline (please check the airline you are a member of). No guarantee is provided for every flight regarding miles. Check whether the program's tickets are upgradeable.
19- In some airlines, food and drink services and online check-in may be subject to extra charges.
Other Issues
20- Wtatil will not accept responsibility for any changes or cancellation processes made by the guest directly in communication with the hotel. In this case, the Wtatil cancellation conditions will apply.
21- In cases where hotels are only indicated by category information without mentioning the names of the hotel(s) in the tour program and/or presented with options for the same destination, Wtatil will inform the guest 48 hours before the departure of the trip.
22- During special periods like fairs, congresses, concerts, events, sports tournaments, etc., hotels may be used from distances more than those specified. In such a case, Wtatil will notify the guest 15 days before the departure date of the tour.
23- During the registration for the purchased tour; the guest must correctly enter/declaration the name as per the passport, date of birth, passport number in the system. Flight tickets are issued based on this information. Penalty for cancellations or changes caused by incorrect information will be charged to the guests.
24- To use your mobile phones abroad, please check before leaving Turkey whether your phone is unlocked for international use by contacting the company to which your line belongs.
25- The check-in time for accommodation in hotels is 15:00, and the check-out time is 12:00.
26- Requests regarding the room (higher floor, close to common areas, smoking/non-smoking, bed type) will be communicated by Wtatil to the hotel. Care will be taken for the booked rooms to align with the preferences of the guest, depending on the hotel's availability. The realization of these requests depends on the availability at the time of check-in and cannot be guaranteed by Wtatil.
27- The breakfast offered in hotels may differ from the rich breakfast traditionally found in Turkish cuisine. Generally, it is served with limited options often called a continental breakfast, consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and it may be served in a separate hall allocated for groups.
28- In some cases, a double room may contain twin beds instead of a double bed. Most European hotels provide rooms with 2 beds that can be combined if necessary.
29- The child and extra bed policy can vary from hotel to hotel and according to room types.
30- Any extra bed and baby crib are provided upon request and according to the availability of the hotel and must be approved by the hotel.
31- The capacity for extra beds or baby cribs in the room is 1 (maximum).
32- In triple rooms, there is an application for an extra bed, and the bed allocated to the 3rd person in such rooms is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed + 1 extra bed. Extra beds consist of foldable beds and coach beds. Our guests accept that they have declared the potential tightness and bed types due to additional beds added to standard rooms in triple room and/or family reservations.
33- If the number of children staying with adults and their ages in the hotel reservations are declared incorrectly by our guests, related hotels may charge an extra fee. In this case, the responsibility belongs to the guest who made the incorrect declaration. The hotel may ask for identification to determine the ages of the children.
34- In reservations for 2 adults + 1 child, there may not be a separate bed for the child. Child prices are only valid if the child stays alongside two adults. Child discounts apply only to the “one child” that meets the age group that stays with two adults.
35- The currency exchange during the day is reflected in TL prices. The rates applicable at the time of payment are valid. Your additional requests, certain extra services at the hotel (minibar, ironing, etc.) will be charged by the hotel and are not included in the payment at the time of purchase; these expenses are paid directly to the hotel during your stay.
36- Some countries have different applications regarding city, tourism, or local taxes. Any city, tourism, or other taxes that are currently applied will be collected from the guest by the hotel upon entry or exit.
37- The travel distances provided in the programs are based on maps. Travel times may be extended due to traffic, weather conditions, geographical location of the country visited, road works, and conditions.
38- Wtatil can replace the cities' order in the program and the main airline to be flown, without changing the content of the program if necessary or deemed appropriate.
39- Personal belongings, bags, luggage, passports/identities of participants in the tour are under their own responsibility, and Wtatil is not responsible for forgotten/lost/stolen items. In case forgotten items are found, any costs incurred during the delivery of the items to the country and/or the owner are the responsibility of the item owner.
40- Participants in the tour are required to carry their travel health insurance policies and any relevant medications and reports if they have health problems.
41- For possible extra expenses, the hotel may request an official identification/passport with a photo and a credit card or cash deposit upon check-in, which is handled between the hotel and the guest, Wtatil has no intervention in this.
Visa and Passport
42- No visa application is required for Turkish citizens.
43- Our guests' passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the end of the trip.
44- In order for a stamp to be placed on your passport at customs crossings/border gates, your passport must have at least 2 blank pages.
45- The exemption from visa for entry into the countries in this tour does not mean that one will necessarily be allowed to enter/exit the country, as the immigration police have the authority to prevent your entry into or exit from the country, Wtatil is not responsible for this, and the responsibility lies with the traveler.
46- Guests who are not Turkish citizens or have dual citizenship and will participate in the tour using another country's passport must personally inquire at the relevant consulates about the visa procedures applied by the country they will travel to, otherwise Wtatil will not be responsible for any consequences.
47- To avoid issues with customs police at the border gate of the visited country due to torn, worn, wet, and/or similarly damaged passports; passports need to be renewed. Otherwise, the responsibility falls on the traveler.
48- Guests under the age of 18 traveling alone or only with one parent may be asked by the police officers at entry/exit points for a document showing the joint consent of both parents; therefore, we advise that guests under 18 and their parents take care about this matter.
