Still thinking about that first evening in the cave hotel, sipping hot apple tea after the drive from the airport while the last light faded over the rocks. Our little group of friends felt instantly settled in. Over the next days, the guide kept a relaxed pace, especially on the northern route with the Esentepe viewpoint and Uchisar Castle, and pointed us toward small family spots for lunch where we tried lentil soup and fresh bread. One night we added the Turkish folklore evening; the food was simple but the atmosphere, with live music and dancers, really pulled the whole trip together. Only downside was a bit of waiting around between transfers, but it did not take away from how special the whole spring visit felt.
