Optimal Seasons for Blue Cruise Experience

June and September offer warm enough weather for sunbathing without the extreme heat typical of mid-summer. If you are eager to indulge in swimming at any hour and adore soaking up the sun, July and August are ideal months. May and October unveil the tranquil charm of nature, making them wonderful times to visit as the beaches and coves are less frequented. Although there can be occasional short rain showers, they typically last just a few hours, allowing ample opportunity to enjoy the sun and gain some vitamin D!

Are Children Welcome?

Indeed, children are allowed on specific boats. We provide family-oriented tours, adults-only excursions, and tours spanning different age groups. • For mixed-age tours, children must be at least 6 years old. • In family tours, all ages are gracefully accepted, ensuring an enjoyable experience tailored to families preferences and needs.

Is Air Conditioning Necessary and When Should it be Used?

Gulet vessels have constrained energy resources, so it is advisable to limit air conditioning usage to about 6-7 hours daily. This approach helps preserve fuel and enhance the boat's operational efficacy. It also prolongs the generator's life while fostering eco-friendly practices by promoting natural ventilation. Nighttime generator operation can produce considerable noise, potentially disturbing fellow travelers. Hence, it is crucial to find the right balance between guest comfort and ecological accountability. Nevertheless, some Luxury Gulet Yachts do provide air conditioning options for 24 hours, so please inquire prior to booking.

Understanding Crew Gratuities

It is common practice to tip the crew once the cruise concludes. The tipping amount is subject to passenger discretion, with 5-10% of the charter fee being the standard in Turkey. Tips are generally given to the captain, who distributes them among the crew members.

Meals Provided During the Tour

This cruise operates on a full board basis, inclusive of: Breakfast Lunch Afternoon tea Dinner, with all meals prepared fresh onboard.

Can We Cater to Dietary Restrictions?

Absolutely. We are capable of accommodating a wide range of dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free options.

What to Bring?

Opt for soft bags as they are significantly easier to store in your cabin compared to rigid suitcases! A compact day pack is also wise for those optional shore excursions you may choose to enjoy. Ensure to bring at least two swimwear options as expect to spend plenty of time in them, alongside T-shirts, shorts, and some warmer clothing for the cool evenings in spring and autumn. It is essential to have a robust mosquito repellent and generous sunblock, as the combination of sea breeze, salt, and sun creates perfect tanning conditions! Don't forget quality sunglasses, a hat, and some soothing aloe vera gel or similar products to ease any sunburns you might acquire. If snorkeling is among your cherished activities, consider packing your own equipment to avoid having to adjust mask sizes repeatedly every time you take a plunge into the water. If you plan to sleep on deck while stargazing, a sleeping bag would be a smart addition, especially during the chillier months of spring and autumn. Furthermore, note that regular street shoes are not allowed aboard a yacht... walking barefoot is commonplace onboard! Nevertheless, soft-soled shoes for deck walking are completely acceptable.

Toiletries/Medications

• Basic toiletries - shampoo, tooth paste, soap etc.

• Sun lotions... lots of it. If you are the light-skin type, get SPF 25 or higher.

• A second pair of prescription glasses/contact lenses if you use those.

• Any specific prescription drug you may need.

• Antihistamine and/or cold/flu medicine.

• Aspirin or equivalent.

• Antibiotic /cortisone crème.

• Sun burn medications.(Aloe Vera gel works wonders)

• Insect repellent.

• Large band aids and elastic wrap.

• Tweezers, nail clippers, a needle (for splinters)

Fethiye – Butterfly Valley & St. Nicholas Island

Begin your cruise adventure with check-in at our office, conveniently located across from Fethiye Port, at 14:00. The boat will depart from Fethiye Port around 15:00, heading to Samanlık Bay for a swim and a relaxing lunch.

Next, depending on sea conditions, we'll visit the stunning Butterfly Valley, a nature reserve home to 136 species of butterflies, for a refreshing swim and nature tour. Weather permitting, we'll continue to the turquoise paradise of Ölüdeniz, where you can opt for an exhilarating paragliding experience.

The day concludes at St. Nicholas Island, where you'll have time to explore Byzantine ruins before enjoying dinner. We will spend the night anchored here.

Butterfly Valley – Oludeniz – St. Nicholas Island

After breakfast, we sail towards the breathtaking Butterfly Valley, one of the most iconic stops on a Fethiye Blue Cruise (weather permitting). Enclosed by towering cliffs and accessible mainly by sea, this natural wonder is home to more than 130 species of butterflies. Guests can swim in crystal-clear turquoise waters, relax on the beach, or hike into the valley for panoramic views (entrance fee applies; sturdy shoes recommended).

Next, we cruise to the world-famous Ölüdeniz Blue Lagoon, renowned for its calm, shimmering waters and spectacular coastal scenery. Here, you can enjoy swimming and sunbathing, or experience optional paragliding from Babadağ Mountain, offering unforgettable aerial views over the lagoon. Lunch is served on board in this stunning setting.

In the late afternoon, we continue to St. Nicholas Island, known for its Byzantine ruins and breathtaking sunset views. Dinner and overnight stay are spent in this historic bay.

Kas – Sunken City of Kekova – Simena – Gokkaya Bay

In the early morning, we cruise along the coastline passing Patara Beach, Turkey’s longest sandy beach stretching 20 km. Breakfast is served at Sıçan Island or Gerenlik Bay, followed by a refreshing swim stop at Hidayet Bay (also known as Shark Bay) in the clear Mediterranean waters.

We then arrive in Kaş, a charming harbor town known for its Lycian rock tombs, ancient Roman theatre, boutique shops, and laid-back bohemian atmosphere. Enjoy free time to explore the old town’s narrow streets before we continue cruising to Ufakdere or İnönü Bay for another swimming break.

Our journey proceeds to Kekova, where we slowly cruise over the famous Sunken City, an ancient Lycian-Roman settlement partially submerged after a 2nd-century earthquake (viewing from the boat only; no swimming permitted).

Next, we visit Simena Village (Kaleköy), accessible only by sea. Here, you may hike up to the medieval castle for breathtaking panoramic views over Kekova Bay or wander among Lycian sarcophagi and small local stalls. Dinner and overnight stay take place in Gökkaya Bay. Optional water sports are available. For guests looking for evening entertainment, a complimentary water taxi can take you to the popular Smuggler’s Inn Pirate Party.

Pirates Cave – Çamlık Bay – Turtle Beach – Demre (Andriake Harbor)

In the early morning, we cruise to the fascinating Pirates Cave, famous for its impressive natural rock formations and hidden entrance carved by the sea.

Afterwards, we anchor at peaceful Çamlık Bay, where breakfast is served on board. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, surrounded by pine-covered hills and the tranquil beauty of the Mediterranean coastline.

We then continue to Turtle Beach, a protected nesting area for the endangered Caretta Caretta sea turtles. Keep watch as these graceful creatures glide through the turquoise waters.

Following lunch on board, we sail to Demre (Andriake Harbor), arriving around 13:00. This marks the end of your unforgettable Turquoise Coast blue cruise, a journey filled with stunning bays, ancient wonders, and breathtaking Mediterranean scenery.
