Need to Know

Bodrum and the Blue Cruise

The “Blue Cruise,” also known as the “Blue Voyage,” is a traditional Turkish sailing experience that takes travelers on a scenic journey through crystal-clear waters, secluded bays, and historic sites along the Turkish Riviera. Departing from Bodrum, the Blue Cruise is typically enjoyed aboard a gulet—a traditional wooden sailing vessel crafted in Turkey. These cruises range from short escapes to extended journeys, with popular routes such as the Bodrum Gulf of Gökova, Marmaris, and Fethiye. Guests on a Blue Cruise can enjoy activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and exploring charming coastal towns and ancient ruins along the way.

Bodrum’s strategic location on the Aegean makes it an ideal starting point for these cruises, which promise both adventure and relaxation, allowing travelers to enjoy unspoiled natural beauty and a slower pace of life on the water.

What to Bring?

Travel light by utilizing flexible luggage that can slide beneath the bed, as overhead storage is restricted. We recommend bringing casual apparel such as shorts, t-shirts, swim attire, a warmer layer for chilly nights, comfortable walking shoes, beach flip-flops, a hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent. In Turkey and Greece, decent clothing is essential when visiting religious sites—women must wear skirts or dresses (no pants or shorts), and sleeveless tops or swimwear are prohibited. Towels and bed linens will be supplied on board.
