1. Days: Nafplio

Athens to Nafplio

Kick off your adventure by traveling from Athens to the charming town of Nafplio, Greece’s first capital after independence. Known for its Venetian architecture, coastal views, and welcoming ambiance, Nafplio offers an ideal start to your journey. Spend the evening exploring its historic streets and vibrant waterfront. 

Overnight in Nafplio.

Distance: 135Km about 2 hours drive 

2. Days: Mycenae-Epidaurus

Mycenae – Epidaurus and Sea Kayak

After breakfast, visit Mycenae, an ancient city with a history stretching back to the Bronze Age. Explore the Lion Gate, the Tomb of Agamemnon, and other impressive ruins. Continue to Epidaurus, famous for its ancient theater and healing sanctuary. End the day with an exciting sea kayaking experience along the scenic Argolic Gulf, taking in coastal views from the water.

Overnight in Nafplion.

3. Days: Lousious Gorge - Ancient Olympia

Trekking in Lousios Gorge and Travel to Ancient Olympia

Today, embark on a trek through the lush Lousios Gorge, where you’ll encounter beautiful landscapes and ancient monasteries tucked into the cliffs. After the hike, head to Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. In the evening, unwind and prepare for a day of exploring Olympia’s historical sites.

Distance: 80Km, about 1,5 hours drive.

Hike Details: 5km, we descend from 670m to 370m to Iron Bridge, then ascend to 550m at Prodomos Monastery to descend at 325m, heading to Ancient Gortys.

(optional activity instead of hiking is rafting)

4. Days: Delphi

Ancient Olympia and Drive to Delphi

Explore the archaeological wonders of Ancient Olympia, including the Temple of Zeus, the original Olympic Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. Afterward, journey north to Delphi, nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. This ancient sanctuary was once considered the “navel of the world.” 

Distance: 240Km, about 3,5 hours drive.

5. Days: Meteora

Hike on the Ancient Footpath and Archaeological Site Visits – Meteora

Begin the day with a hike along the ancient footpaths of Delphi, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. 

We stop, en route, for a picnic in a traditional sheep barn, near the cave of Pan.

We reach Delphi, and visit the actual archaeological site and museum, a world heritage monument according to UNESCO, with a professional guide.

Amongst others we visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the museum which contains masterpieces such as the Bronze Charioteer and the image of the famous athlete Aghias.

Distance: 8km.

Descend 650m.

We drive through the wide Thessalic plain to Kalambaka, the small town at the foot of Meteora rocks. In this far-off corner of Thessaly there is a strange and magnificent region which is justly famous as one of the wonders of the East.

Just above Kalambaka stand the famous Meteora Monasteries, glued to the sides of the rocky pinnacles.

Distance: 230Km, about 3,5 hours’ drive.

6. Days: Athens

Trekking in Meteora (Optional Rappel/Abseiling) and Drive Back to Athens

On your final day, explore Meteora with a scenic trekking route around its dramatic rock formations. For those seeking an extra thrill, optional rappel/abseiling activities are available, providing a unique perspective of this UNESCO World Heritage site. Afterward, head back to Athens or continue on to another destination.


These paths go up to the rocks and take us to the cliff top monasteries, the high places of the Greek - orthodox spirituality. We visit the world-famous monasteries of Meteora, Megalo Meteoron and Agios Stefanos.
