What to Bring?

Travel light with soft bags that can fit under the bed, as cabin space is limited. It is recommended to include casual wear such as shorts, t-shirts, swim trunks, a warmer layer for cooler evenings, comfortable walking footwear, beach sandals, a hat, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. When visiting Greece, modest clothing is required at religious sites—women are expected to wear skirts or dresses (not pants or shorts), while sleeveless tops or swimwear are prohibited. Towels and bed linens are available on board.

Day 1: Naples

NAPLES, ITALY - MOUNT VESUVIUS

Boarding at the picturesque port of Naples commences promptly at 14:00. Following a crucial safety drill led by our committed Blue Voyage Cruise Team, indulge in a delightful welcome cocktail and dinner. Participate in our optional excursion to Pompeii and uncover the events surrounding the devastating eruption of 79 A.D., how entire towns were preserved in ash, and the reasons Mount Vesuvius continues to be among the most hazardous volcanoes in the world today, despite its current serene facade. Spend the night in Naples, a captivating beginning to your cruise journey. 

Day 2: Capri

CAPRI - CAMPI FLEGREI

Our enchanting morning expedition, framed by the magnificent Tyrrhenian Sea, takes us to the renowned island of Capri. Renowned for its stunning panoramas, clear skies, and ideal climate, Capri is undeniably the "gem" of the Bay of Naples. Delve into the mysteries of Campi Flegrei and uncover why this region near Naples is more than just a volcano but a supervolcano, on par with Yellowstone, highlighting its significance as one of Europe’s most scrutinized geological areas.

Upon our arrival, feel free to join our optional half-day adventure on the island. As the sun begins to set, we bid adieu to Capri and commence our journey towards Lipari. Prior to dinner, engage in one of our most cherished onboard activities: the Cocktail Demonstration. Conducted by our expert Bar Manager, this engaging hour showcases the crafting of two signature cocktails, complete with detailed recipes for you to recreate at home! 

Day 3: Lipari

LIPARI - STROMBOLI

After a delightful breakfast, our vessel docks in Lipari, the largest gem of the Aeolian Islands. Enriched with tales of mythology and breathtaking vistas, Lipari is truly captivating. Join us for an optional half-day excursion starting from the pier: a scenic bus journey to Quattrocchi for sweeping views, and then onward to Quattropani, known for its charming church and stunning landscapes of Salina. After the tour, relish some free time in the village for lunch. Discover why this region is remarkably more volcanic than other parts of Europe and how tectonic activities have crafted its striking terrains. The afternoon is yours to explore and unwind at your leisure. Dinner will be served back on board as we bid farewell to Lipari and chart our course towards the mesmerizing shores of Taormina. As we approach, we will glide past the awe-inspiring eruptions of Stromboli, with our volcanologist George Kourounis present to enrich the experience. He will clarify the mechanics of Stromboli, discuss its consistent eruptions every hour for the past two millennia, and share his adventurous stories of climbing the volcano while capturing footage for Angry Planet.


 

Day 4: Taormina

TAORMINA - CORSO UMBERTO

In the morning, we arrive at the mesmerizing shores of Taormina. Join our optional excursion to wander its charming narrow streets, the fifteenth-century Palazzo Corvaja, and the fascinating Greek amphitheater renowned for its acoustics. Enjoy a leisurely promenade along Corso Umberto, a lively pedestrian thoroughfare filled with upscale boutiques, often referred to as the "Sicilian Saint Tropez." Lunch is at your convenience, allowing ample time for personal exploration and culinary experiences. At 7:30 PM, partake in our included Wine Tasting Experience, showcasing a selection of splendid Italian and Greek wines, followed by our lavish four-course dinner on board. Return to the ship for dinner as we anchor for the night, enveloped by the enchanting allure of Taormina.

Day 5: Mount Etna

CATANIA - MOUNT ETNA

Set off from the enchanting town of Taormina in the early morning, making your way towards Catania. After a fulfilling breakfast, take part in our optional full-day journey to Mount Etna, the most renowned volcano in Italy. Discover an array of stunning landscapes, from lively towns to fragrant citrus groves, lush vineyards, and ancient lava fields. Gain insights into the volcanic history of the region from expert George Kourounis and delve into local folklore while wandering through charming villages. Ascend to an elevation of 2000 meters to leisurely walk around the Silvestri craters or indulge in local delights such as honey. The tour wraps up at a celebrated winery situated on the slopes of Mount Etna, where you can taste exceptional wines and relish the rich flavors of Sicily.

Day 6: Syracuse

SYRACUSE - GOZO ISLAND

As dawn breaks and we reach the captivating Syracuse, indulge in a delightful breakfast before immersing yourself in the beauty of the "White City." Join our guided exploration to uncover the city's compelling history and cultural gems. You have the freedom to choose your lunch, allowing for a leisurely taste of local cuisine at your own pace. The afternoon invites you to either stroll through quaint streets, unwind by the sea, or delve into the intriguing heritage of Syracuse. Prior to dinner, our talented chef will demonstrate how to prepare Pesto a la Trapanese, an excellent recipe to brighten your future gatherings. This evening, partake in our Captain’s Italian Night Dinner featuring exquisite dishes paired with delightful melodies. Shortly after midnight, we will say goodbye to Syracuse and set sail towards the magical shores of Gozo Island. 

Day 7: Valetta

GOZO ISLAND - VALLETTA

The morning unveils our captivating entrance to Gozo Island, cherished for its stunning Ggantija temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that dates back 5500 years. Take pleasure in a refreshing swim in the tranquil waters of Malta before we arrive on Gozo by noon. Here, discover the island's hidden gems and plan for a leisurely lunch. For airport or hotel transfers, our Cruise Manager stands ready to assist; kindly provide your desired transfer time at least 24 hours prior. In the afternoon, we take our leave from Gozo and make our way to Valletta, the magnificent capital of Malta. Savor a delightful dinner served onboard as we glide through serene waters.

Day 8: Valetta

VALLETTA, MALTA
